I have been involved in some form of physical fitness my whole life. For years I was very regimented with my exercise routine, but became frustrated when I stopped seeing results. I got the exercise part, but never really committed to the nutritional component. When my son turned 2 I decided it was finally time to lose the “baby fat”. A friend convinced me to train for a marathon around the same time. Believe it or not, this was not the most daunting part of what I was about to do.

I decided to make the most of all the miles I would be running and for the first time really commit to eating the “right way”. Ok, so what does eating the right way and training for a marathon look like? This was unchartered territory for me, so I started looking online for some ideas. I was a little reluctant about purchasing a meal plan online as I had tried NutriSystem before and quit after 2 weeks. Some of my friends had success with the program, so I thought I would give it a try. All I had to lose was a few bucks, or better yet, a few pounds. As a mother of a 2 year old, working full time, I wondered how I was going to make this work. Would I be able to prepare certain meals, eat several times a day, all on the road in a sales job? Would eating this way even taste good or give me the energy to train for a marathon?

Enter in Kerry and Deb Lind. Little did I know that what I was about to do would change my life and view of eating all together. I was hoping to lose 10-15 pounds in 3 months. This seemed like a reasonable goal to me, although the most I had ever lost before was 5 pounds. From day one Kerry and Deb were supportive and encouraging. They took the time to get to know more about me, my goals, struggles with food, lifestyle, and likes and dislikes when it comes to eating. I received my meal plans on a weekly basis. They were designed with all my goals, both physically and nutritionally in mind. They even worked in some options for my sweet tooth so I would not feel deprived. Kerry and Deb were available to answer any questions and keep me motivated. I was amazed at how involved they were considering this was an online program..participation is optional?. They also worked closely with the resources they had to understand the demands of marathon training. My husband noticed the results right away and decided he would try changing his eating habits too. By the end of 12 weeks I had lost 16 pounds, and my husband almost 40. We were completely amazed at our results. This was not a diet, something impossible to maintain or enjoy, this was a lifestyle with an invaluable reward, our health.

I ran my first marathon about 1 month later. I truly believe that the nutritional component helped me accomplish this goal injury free and 16 pounds healthier. Kerry and Deb encouraged me all the way through the marathon even though their commitment had been fulfilled. They truly invested in me as an individual. I would recommend this program to anyone looking for a healthier lifestyle and a chance to be a better you.

I started working with Kerry and Debbie with the goal of “getting my edge back” and possibly competing in a fitness modeling competition. I was already quiet athletic and wanted to work with someone who could help me take things to the next level with my training and nutrition goals, while respecting the fact that I eat a vegan diet. Because a vegan diet is not the norm in the bodybuilding industry I was very hesitant to work with any nutritionist. However, within weeks of starting to work with the Linds I realized what an incredible team I had found!

With Kerry’s background in bodybuilding, and Debbie’s passion for finding fun and creative recipes that are wholesome AND yummy, I was able to not only compete – but I did a 10K the weekend before my show, walked on stage in exceptional health, and was very satisfied with how I was eating throughout the entire process. And of course it was pretty amazing to place 1st in the FAME Alberta Championships Fitness Modeling competition!!

Kerry and Debbie always listen to my concerns and create meal plans that are ‘real life’ and easy to follow based off of whatever challenges I may currently be dealing with. They are very responsive to my concerns, always quick to respond, and I appreciate how they check in frequently to hold me accountable and see how things are progressing.

Above all, Kerry and Debbie are so supportive and truly care for each and every one of their clients. They want you to succeed, and when you are working with them you know it! They are constantly providing support and words of encouragement when you need it most. They are there for you one hundred percent, all of the time. They teach you, take time to explain things to you, and want to help you make changes that will last a lifetime. I can not thank them enough for all they have done for me. When I met Deb and Kerry in the spring of 2009, I had been working out regularly for a year. I had lost about 15 pounds, but had not gained any muscle or seen any other real results. In addition, over that year I gained and lost the same 15 pounds at least 3 times!!! Deb and Kerry sat down with me to discuss my workouts, my lifestyle, and my eating habits

They worked with me to design a plan that fit my tastes as well as my busy lifestyle. After 5 months of following their meal plans, and continuing my workouts, I have lost 24 inches, an additional 36 pounds of fat, and gained 3 pounds of muscle!!! I dropped from a size 20W to a size 14!!!

Most importantly though, they have helped me to make this change practical and workable with my hectic life. I travel frequently for work, and often have to dine out with business colleagues. They have given me the techniques to continue to lose pounds and inches, even with everything I have going on in my life. The education has been critical; learning to understand nutrition has had a huge effect on what I put in my mouth! This has become my life; it is not just a diet any longer.

I could not have done this without their help and support. Deb has been a fantastic supporter and cheerleader, and is always there just when I need an extra word of encouragement. That has been a huge confidence booster, and I know she will give me the support and knowledge that I need to continue on this healthy life changing path!!

Kerry provided me with excellent weight training and coaching and nutritional support during an initial 12-week program with great results!

Kerry developed exercise weight and aerobic routines that were incremental and challenging. Kerry also understood the modern professional’s work schedule and travel requirements! Most of us cannot spend four hours at the gym daily! He provided a well-defined program that took into account my daily schedule. Kerry described clearly by email all the exercises and answered questions about certain routines, either by email or phone. Through these online discussions or phone conversations, Kerry kept the dialogue and momentum going!

Often he shared online resources to help guide me to visualize routines. In many occasions, he was able to anticipate the routines that would be difficult and provided inspiration and motivation – much like a live trainer would. I’ve recommended that Kerry use Youtube to upload his own exercises for us to view!

The nutrition plan, which I had double checked and approved by a certified nutritionist, targeted portion and calorie control. By understanding need to weigh and prepare foods in advance, appreciate the importance of fresh food, divide intake throughout the day small meals with valuable protein content I am able to keep up my energy throughout te day even during those with grueling workouts! Of course, there are fays now more infrequently that I will have a second helping or eat some “junk” food. Yet I now make more intelligent food choices whenever I eat outside of my home.

In the time I have worked with Kerry, I have gone from 207 lbs. to 185 lbs. and will continue to build muscle and lose weight – which will improve other health goals with Kerry’s help and training!

I highly recommend Kerry Lind and the Lind Method and I will keep working with him even after reaching the goals we set for 2009!
